Aquaculture Intelligence System
Innovasea’s wireless monitoring system allows aquaculture producers to monitor environmental conditions online in real time.
Farms are populated with a suite of cableless sensors called aquaMeasures, which use an underwater acoustic protocol to send data to a central telemetry unit called the aquaHub.
The aquaHub pushes the data online in real time, over a WiFi, cellular or Iridium network. Other monitoring systems, e.g. weather stations, current profilers and wave and tide sensors, can also be added.
All data is secured online and can be viewed in real time on smart phone or computer using aquaEnvironment (part of the RealFish Pro app). The app also includes environmental alarm options.
Over the past two years the system has been trialled and adopted by Scottish and Irish producers such as Scottish Sea Farms, Greig Seafood, Cooke Aquaculture Scotland, Mowi, Scotland and Mowi Ireland. Internationally it is being used by multiple groups, including Cermaq, Mowi, Grieg, Salmar and others.
In response to requests from local producers, RS Aqua are now able to offer the Innovasea system as a monthly rental service. The service will cover end to end provision of the real time monitoring system, as well as installation, training, and regular equipment service and calibration options. All aspects of the service are customisable to suit the needs of all aquaculture sites in the UK and Ireland.
