Aanderaa - Automatic Weather Station - AWS 2700

A rugged self-contained station suited for use in remote and harsh locations. A totally modular design enables easy subsequent expansion to incorporate additional sensors, extended mast height, data communications etc.

Meteorological and oceanographic parameters are covered. In addition to the “classic” weather station configuration, the AWS can be configured for Road Monitoring applications and can form the heart of a Coastal Monitoring Station supported by on-line and post-processing software packages. All individual sensors can also be used in single or small package configuration with display and/or logging facilities. Parameters (with sensor part numbers in brackets) include:

Aanderaa - Road Condition sensor - RWS 3565

Monitors road surface temperature, wet or dry road, snow coverage and the salinity/ freezing point of the moisture on the road surface.

Aanderaa - Visibility sensor - MIRA 3544

A unique, low power (DC option), small, rugged and low cost visibility sensor. Measures fog, haze, mist, dust and smoke. Can also detect reduced visibility cause by snow. Based on forward scanning of infrared light. Range 20-3000m.
