Nautilus – Glass spheres and cylinders - Vitrovex
The high quality and clarity of the glass produced by the Schott glass-works, forms the basis for the Vitrovex range distributed by Nautilus Marine. Products include full ocean depth buoyancy and instrument housings with electrical feed-throughs and vacuum ports. Glass is an ideal medium for deep ocean use in view of its lightness, corrosion resistance and chemical, electrical, magnetic and optical properties. Different shapes, sizes and depth ratings are available. Protective shells or “hard hats” also available. Seen here as part of the POL RAPID Lander.
